Home lost for H1 against Citybasket

H1-Citybasket 81:91 (23:21, 20:24, 25:21, 13:25)

Another disappointing lost on Saturday night against a really good Citybasket. In a game we really needed to win as we fight to stay in the league, we again came up short. We needed to play our best game of the season and at times we did but not for 40 minutes.

Our goal was to have a fast start and I think we did that. We started the game good, I liked the tempo we played with. I think we controlled the flow of the game in the 1st quarter. In the 2nd I think we played a little too fast and out of control. I think we made too many unforced turnovers and lost our ball movement.

After half time we had a better start than normal and that was great for us. We normally start slow in the 3rd, but I think we did a better job playing fast after the break. 4th quarter was our worst quarter of the season when we needed our best quarter. We didn’t make enough plays on offense or on defense to win the game. Still 2 games left in the season and we are still fighting to stay in the league. We still have to continue to work if we want to stay in the league.

Scoring: Lewis 29, Luchterhandt 16, Bampoulis 13, Kiknadze 12, Toptan 4, Voca 3, Wasielewski 3, Spitale 1, Stockey
