H1 lose at home to finish the season

H1- Munster 84:98

The champs from Munster was too strong from the men from Hasps on Saturday night. With little to play for Munster came out and played like true champs. They are  really good coached and play great team basketball. They deserved to win the league and wish them all the best in the Pro B. We got off to a slower start then what I wanted us to. I hope that we would have started a bit faster and playing at a quicker tempo. I think we play way too relaxed on defense. I thought we was one step too slow on defense, we gave up too many open shots early on.

At half time the score was 43- 46 Munster had a 3 point lead but I thought we should have been ahead by at least 5 points. We finally got control of the game tempo in the 2nd quarter. We got some stops and that allowed us to get into transition and attack. Jeremy made back to back 3s and forced Munster to take an early timeout.  Late in the 2nd we had too many defensive breakdowns and let Munster to steal the momentum going into half time.

In the 3rd Munster came out focus and the lead with from 3 til 20 with under 6 minutes left. They really played aggressive defense and held us to only 3 points in 5 minutes. We continued to fight but in the end the champs was just too strong. It was the last game for Team Captain Michael Wasielewski and we would like to thank him for his time with the team.

Scoring: Lewis 39, Fouhy 14, Voca 13, Bampoulis 13, Toptan 3, Kiknadze 2, Stockey, Wasielewski
